This one-year-old says Deo gratias! On April 13, 2023, this Substack was launched with its first article — together with a leap of faith, very little technical know-how, and a loose plan that extended about, oh, a week at a time. With help from heaven and support from many readers, we have reached the milestone of one year, and we’re still here, with no intention of going away!
Congrats on your anniversary! Would love to see an article on how/why the discrepancy came about in numbering the Psalms between the Vulgate and Septuagint.
Thank you, Dr. K., for your generous and dedicated writing. The purity and un-political stream you offer is nowhere to be found.
If anyone is reading: it’s well worth it. I need to find alternatives for donating subscriptions. So many religious need to hear from a fresh and traditional voice: erstwhile, they only learn the “party line.” But Truth is Truth, and is well worth seeking.
I'm grateful for your Substack, Dr. K. You've helped me understand Tradition (and our traditions) so much better. I genuinely feel connected to the Faith and fellow believers in a way I can't explain, except that it seems truly "ever new" and not just "ancient." And with the depressing news cycles, your writing, your perspective, strengthens within me a vital hope. I'm proud to be a subscriber. Thank you and God bless you!
Thank you for all of your time, energy, thought, guidance, insight, and intelligence resulting in bringing me back from the brink of despair. I thank God for you and all that you do in assisting me in my quest in getting closer to my God and my Faith. I can't imagine a week without your reflections and guidance. God bless you and keep you strong in pursuing your passion which is such a tremendous aid to my growth in understanding my faith.
Congrats on making it to one year! I think, generally speaking, I've read/listened to just about every post and hope to continue doing so for years to come.
I thought I would take just a moment to share why I think the voiceover you do on the articles is valuable, at least to me. I have a busy schedule (don't we all) and I generally find that time for reading a lengthy article is almost non-existent. BUT, what has been a blessing for me is your voiceovers. I can easily make time to clear out my work email as listen to a 15-30 minute article read to me - essentially filling what would be wasted time in my day with instead an article that educates, entertains, or edifies my soul. I can tell you it is something that I look forward to each week. I hope that provides a little insight into at least how one person is benefitting greatly from you taking the time to read aloud your articles.
God bless you and your family for all that you are doing for us!
I'm an old man with weak eyes so I consider it a great mercy to have a voice
recording and a written article. As my eyes permit I follow along with the written article which helps with retaining more in my old feeble little gray cells. It looks from the survey that many subscribers don't take advantage of your reading so I understand if you discontinue this feature but I really hope you don't.
I’m always grateful for your articles. In a world of so much despair and seeming apostasy, this substack gives a clear path through the insanity that, I admit, can lead to an unholy despair. Tradition and Sanity. A perfect title for that which does seem to be a path back to Christ the King and his Mother, in their unapologetic glory. Thank you.
What I like the most is the extensive research and detail, which transforms what could be a mere opinion into concrete evidence and proof, which even if there is a disagreement, must be seriously taken into account.
I appreciate the regularity with which you post. Each Monday and Friday I head over to Substack and look forward to listening to your posts (and I love the audio option!). If you change the days of the week, that is no problem. I think having a regular schedule matters more than which days you select. Thank you for the consistently thoughtful, insightful, informative, soul-nourishing content.
Happy aniversary, Dr. Kwasniewski, and thank you for all your work! As an 18-year-old, former Novus Ordo Catholic turned Trad, I can't say how much I have learned from your writing, and how much I appreciate your articles. May God bless you abundantly!
Congratulations on one year! I discovered you recently and subscribed almost immediately. Your writing is excellent and I’ve been slowly working through your backlog. I haven’t yet read anything that I was disappointed in.
Thank you for praying for us weekly! I think you’re a planned speaker at a women’s conference at our home parish in August my wife will be attending. If you need a coffee for that conference happy to support your work here too!

Congratulations and a hearty thank you!
So you know, 10% conversion rate is really high. The average is about 3-5%.
Well done. Truly, this is an outstanding publication.
